That's very interesting it worked. I was a little bit skeptical to say the least. How did you find out about it? I guess she poo pooed on the potty as well?

Bauer calls freedom from diapers "responsive infant-care." Germs, everywhere, disease, nasty mess on every public surface. Total irresponsibility.

And they're not coming to my house until their kids are about 12.

Meanwhile
crotchless pants for babies are going to way of the dinosaur in China. Younger couples are no longer using kaidangkues in favor of disposable diapers.

I went to google and found the following:
"In 1957, studies found that 92 percent of children were toilet trained by 18 months. Today, that figure has dropped to less than 25 percent"
Many years ago both boys and girls wore little dresses and they toilet trained as soon as they walked. Mothers weren't about to wash a pair of underpants every day.

The average estimated diaper consumption for a set of health twins is approximately 700 a month.HOLY CRAP again. I think I would have to cut that down to about 350 per month. Are these your first children? If so, you do know if it's not a poo poo you can get quite a few pees in those things if they are a good kind like Huggies and Pampers. My second usually had his hanging down to his knees and weighed about 5 pounds before it was time for a change--ha, ha. Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your twins.

Abigail and Anastasia are our first kids. And yes I to had to be told that the writing on the side saying 10 to 15 pounds in not it's hold in capacity. Mores the pity. ;)

My granddad (b 1902) told my mom about how his mother beat his little brother's butt until it bled because he soiled his pants. Probably not the best way to potty train a child. She was a tiny woman. Guess she was sick of doing laundry that day. My mom said that her grandma even took in laundry to make some extra money.

Oh good grief! Are we going to have to deal with enviro-whackos holding their babies out over the gutter so they can relieve themselves in public? Their nuttiness continues to amaze...

They better learn to tell which shrubbery is poison ivy! Talk about a bad case of diaper rash!

Noting many greens' opposition to flush toilets and now baby diapers, Bidinotto said environmentalists' have a "strange affinity for bodily wastes," and he believes they have become "obsessed with toilet issues." Good summary, imho.

I don't think 18 months is unreasonable.
It does however take some effort on the parent's part. Some parent's today are not willing to put that time in.

Best wishes for you and for healthy girls! Our oldest wore cloth diapers, but when the twins came it was disposables all the way! Try to enjoy their babyhood as much as you can, and you can't do that if all you're doing is changing wet bottoms.
