The change is already happening. Democracy in Afhganistan and Iraq. Peaceful (well, so far at least) power transition in Lebanon. Disarmament and global engagement by Libya. Turkey in NATO. Islamic Albanian troops supporting U.S. forces in Iraq, etc.
Women are getting the vote in Kuwait. Multi-Party elections are about to be held in Egypt. And Saudi Arabia is at war with Al Qaeda.
Lets also not forget that Pakistan has been sending its Army against the Taliban and Al Qaeda, permitting U.S. operations and fly-bys, as well as backing off of its Kashmir provocations with India.
This is historic progress...it is a major change in Islamic sentiment and actions from a mere 5 years ago. This much cultural change takes time, too. No doubt more good news will likewise follow at even faster rates.
It was U.S. personnel and supplies aiding the Tsunami victims, not Bin Laden, too. More than a few people around the world took permanent note of that fact.
Yes, but the knuckle draggers won't be happy until we're at all out war with a billion people. Of course, they will enjoy the show from their easy chairs and let our military boys and girls take the brunt of it.
