Not defending her, I dont know the facts, but as a parent I can assure you, children can vanish in sseconds even when you are as paranoid as I was when they were young.

I agree with you. I think it's wise that folks not jump to conclusions in situations like this. Even parents who are considered extremely protective of their children have bad things happen to them.

When my daughter was 4 , she decided to "run away" while I was taking a shower. I got out and they were gone. I had no idea she could even undo the locks. I'm frantically running around the house calling for them, then I went outside and looked both ways down my street...... There was a long line of cars driving very slowy and a woman walking down the street escorting my children down the street. My daughter had a stick holding a bandana of stuff (just like in the cartoons) And she had toted her 2 year old brother with her. I felt so sick too sick to spank her. I was really shaken up..... We bought a chain lock after that and I showered only when they were asleep.
