President Bush is being responsible for not turning the friction in the Middle East into a full blown global contest. Jihad has always been. Today's American leadership refuses to play into that "trap".
Islam was founded by one man and it's his vision and instruction that make his religion what it is today. Islam itself hasn't been hijacked since it hasn't changed in nature from its inception. If there's been any hijacking, it's been from Islam's founder in adopting Ishmael (Abraham's son) as an ancestor to attempt a quasi-legitimacy for ownership of Isaac's inheritance (Israel and the Messiah). Thus, the "hijacking" didn't happen as a recent event. It was a lie from the beginning. I use the following link only as a quick reference:

Catholic sacraments will be made available to ALL nations. That Muslims have a huge devotion to the Mother of Jesus may be their saving Grace, and this will lead many to Baptism. Baptism won't halt their practice of Islam (nor should Islamic countries be pressured into forceful conversions...that's not the nature of a True religion), but it will open them to further understanding of Christ. The Sacramental Life will usher mankind forward into an era of peace. The errors of Islam will cave to the indelible Gifts of God's Spirit. Please reference the Baptizing of Vikings settling in Ireland by the Irish to usher newcomers into the community. The Baptism inductions initiated peace and the would be invaders became brothers.
This doesn't guarantee a halt to violence, but it will open a door that had previously been shut. Muslims will take comfort in knowing that Christian communities are obligated to make Baptism available.

Not true, the Hadith, from which most of the fanatic quotes and interpretations are taken, were not written for more then 200 years after Muhamd died.
