It looks like Texas is really going to get tough. (/sarcasm) Rep. Luna of Corpus Christi has a bill in Austin that requires any person or business pay a 50 cent fee for every $100 wired From Texas to a foreign country. The fee will be capped at $5.00.
This will be more paper work than what it will be worth. It will be 0.005 percent. What a joke.
I forgot to mention that this money is supposed to go for indigent health care. It is a good idea but not enough money.
I know that you all like to claim these dishwashers and lawn clippers are all a foreign invading army, but you ought to exercise a little leadership and personal responsibility and police your own posts, unless you want everyone else to think you also support, by your apparent toleration of it, the advocacy of murder against unarmed men, women, and children.
Sure, A/C and water bottles all the way home.
I'll take their concrete accomplishments over your (quite late) attempts to vilify them. As I said on the outset - these retired former military and law enforcement personnel have far more discipline and competence than the general public know. That you can't see that after they've accomplished their mission shows you lack the knowledge (or right) to criticize them at all.
They have a sense of entitlement like nothing I've ever seen before. How can anyone say they're being mistreated? We, the American taxpayers, are the ones being mistreated and cheated, along with being lied to by our "leaders".
Oh yeah, the nightmare of welfare worth 100 times what they ever made, free education, free medical, thousands of failed, but free liberal programs... yeah, real nightmare.
If we continue to let the moonbats control the language, and make illegal legal, leach into immigrant, "Give us your angry, your insane, your massing terrorists...yearning to wreck havoc on our nation."
Show me any law abiding foreigner working hard to earn citizenship and learn the language, I'll show you someone who has my utmost respect, and deserves all the benefits of being an "American".
Otherwise... get the hell out, and stay out."
While he (or she) got a bit strident in their second paragraph I can't find their argument without merit. The "moonbats" are sympathizers of Islam and the horror of 9-11 has alienated many Americans to say far worse in my presence. I'm not apologizing for this person, just pointing out how an American can get as cranked up as the jihadists you may be more familiar with.
I totally agree that those who can't stand with us should depart immediately. People who hate this country should definately find another better suited to their beliefs, sparing us who love it their complaints and whining. To those people I say: Move or shut the hell up!
We grant more freedom than any country on this planet yet find vicious dogs deluded by fanaticism biting the hand that can easily smite them. That we allow them to continue doing so while the countries they came from would have "disappeared" them proves America is not the weak entity they portray to their followers. It proves America is mightier than the illusiary fantasy of an Islamic Caliphate ruling this planet.
That's not happening. Ever ask yourself what Islam offers women other than eternal servitude?
Spiff, why so quiet on the violence?
You're an absolutely sick poster.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
They are creating a nightmare for the citizens and Legal residents of this country. What a lie they tell.
We go all over this planet enforcing borders for countries who cannot, and we leave our own fort gates wide open for invasion.
That is wrong.
Don't forget these guys hold dual citizenship when they, if they are granted amnesty. They never denouce their original citizenship, and ...
Guess who they pledge allegiance too. Not America.
They get treated better here than in their own country, at our citizen's expense..
The problem we face is that a fifth column of illegals is firmly entrenched within our borders. Something as simple as taking control of those borders is controversial.
One cannot but wonder what will happen if Mexico ever becomes politically unstable. Will a tenth of Mexico's population migrate north, as happened last time they had a revolution? Today, the population of Mexico is 100,000,000.
I think we have made a problem for ourselves. Whether we have the political will to solve it is quite another question.
We have a National Emergency. Our Minutemen are showing the world that we can stop them from crossing the border just by using lethal weapons of lawn chairs and binoculars.
Cool, huh?!
