Her cancer was similar to mine, in that the cancerous area could have spread through the lymph nodes to other parts of the body. I had the surgery, and "close observation" to confirm that it hadn't spread to the lymph nodes. Because it hadn't spread, I didn't have chemo/radiation.

If it is determined that is hasn't spread, there's no need for chemo.

Testicular cancer and breast cancer are not the same, and are treated differently. She may or may not decide to have chemo or radiation depending on receptor status, etc. She seems pretty young to me - the younger you are the more aggressive breast cancer tends to be. Does anybody know her age?
