I tried to contact those companies for a statement on the billboard:
Dodge's customer service wouldn't connect me with anyone in their corporate offices. Even their WHOIS has that same customer service number, but I'll see if I can find a direct number.
Kia has not (yet?) returned my call.
Coors returned my call but said they only advertise on national networks. I did see one of their national ads, but it might have just been a space filler, a test, or placed by a local group or similar.
If anyone contacts those companies for a statement, please post the details in this thread. More on this matter here and here. Note that I didn't see any ads for any KFC/Taco Bell-related companies.
Good post!
Thanks!!!
Will the last American out of California please remember to bring the Flag with them. Thank You
Let's get this straight.
You are contacting radio station sponsors to complain about some idiotic billboard?
Does the fact that over Ten Million illegal aliens are already living in the USA and no one is doing anything about it cause you any discomfort at all?
You just might have to add "andcompany" to your screen-name and brush up on your Spanish,Gringo.
Obviously, that channel is the mexican version of al jereeza of the middle east.
What about trying to yank their FCC license?
Continue sending Federal tax returns to Fresno for the time being.
It's UHF, isn't that supposed to be whacky?
I'm sorry. I can't get worked up over a billboard. If it struck a nerve, it's because it's true. Can't fault them for that.
The Hispanics keep churning out babies even if the illegals now stayed home. The other races are aborting theirs right and left so it's no wonder the Hispanic population seems to be exploding.
Maybe in another 20-30 years, you won't be able to win an election in California outside of Berkeley and Frisco without being Pro-Life. So, look on the bright side.
The story about all of the illegal aliens?
and we tell the story behind Mexico,"
The story about the millions of Mexicans residing illegally in the U.S.?
[Executive Vice President Lenard Liberman of Liberman Broadcasting, owners of KRCA 62 UHF] said. "If they find that offensive, I'm sorry. But you just have to drive around L.A. to know that this is a Hispanic city an American city that is inhabited by tens of thousands illegal aliens from Mexico."
"Dodge's customer service wouldn't connect me with anyone in their corporate offices. Even their WHOIS has that same customer service number, but I'll see if I can find a direct number."
Customer Service will almost never give you management's number. The key to running a "customer service" operation is to give the phone-answerers only limited information, and limited access to the company.
The quickest way I know of to go "straight to the top" of a big company, with NAMES, ADDRESSES, and TELEPHONE NUMEBRS, is "EDGAR" -- the SEC's free internet site, which has annual and quarterly reports.
In under two minutes, starting from reading your post, I got this information, which is from December 9, 2000, but may still be accurate. With a bit more snorkeling I could probably get the most recent info:
