"We the people, in order to form a more perfect union" . . . are getting restless and feel we are fighting an "insurgency" here in our own United States.
The "power to the people" crowd, of this great country, are about to mount a full fledged war here at home if Congress doesn't get its act together. Oh, there won't be bloodshed likened to Valley Forge or Gettysburg, but there's a battle brewing nonetheless. We just might need to start over . . . perhaps another revolution. I feel one coming on. Where's George W . . . Washington that is?
If some folks don't think the Founding Fathers had it right, we might need to go to battle just to affirm their message . . . and it's a message worth fighting for. It's called the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers, and though many of you can't stand to hear the name of God, we'll throw in the Ten Commandments, just to keep it "fair and balanced." Yee-hah!
Those accused of being "extreme radical right-winged idiots" don't question for a minute what the Founding Fathers had in mind - and they certainly don't question God - but some of our left-minded patriots have become so mangled and mired - in their own mindless misguidedness - that they can't find their way.
Some say, "Surely we never meant, 'One Nation Under God,'" well, yes we did. But left-thinkers want to teach our children: "One Nation Under Your Own Personal Belief System."
"That's what a Middle School administrator in Denver, Colorado recently read over the school's public address system and expected the students to recite verbatim," said the Denver Post.
Others say, "Surely we never meant, 'Freedom of Speech,'" well, yes we did. But now the "lefties" want Christians to go sit back down in their pews and shut-up. John Kerry and Hillary Clinton can quote scriptures, but let the President utter a verse and he's a "religious fanatic."
Obviously, some of our compatriots have never heard the scripture references and prayers of our Founding Fathers which would make George Bush look like he needed more time in Sunday School.
The infighting on Capitol Hill is causing much heated debate and "the people" are about to revolt. Don't ever underestimate the "the people." We've shown our colors before -- did you see RED all over those election maps last November? You might want to look again. That color of red represents millions of people who expect some work to be done. Don't snub your noses . . .those are "fighting looks" you're giving us. We're angry and you're making us madder by the minute. Now get in there and get to work.
We're sick and tired of our elected officials "dancing" around the issues in an effort to make sure they position themselves with finesse and loving appreciation so that you'll remember them with support and loyalty at the ballot box. Well phooey, if something isn't done soon, the people will speak, and you may not like what you're going to hear.
The Minutemen have the right idea. In the absence of "government," the citizens are forced to pick up the slack. Power to the People!! And they're doing it with cell phones -- not guns. Where's my Nokia? When we have grandmothers sitting in rocking chairs, guarding our borders so Mexicans don't break the law, something is wrong.
Sexual predators are released from prison stalking young girls and making their move: to abduct, molest, rape, and kill, but we shackle Martha Stewart with an ankle chain for fear she might get away. Have we lost our minds? I'm telling you . . . something is wrong - terribly wrong.
The left-thinkers refused to listen to 269 Swiftboat Veterans say that John Kerry was "Unfit to be President," yet one lone woman comes forward to say - without a single witness and any verifiable evidence - that John Bolton chased her down a hallway ten years ago waving and throwing papers. On this woman's "face-valued" allegation, our whole process to confirm Bolton as U.N Ambassador stopped. Her single voice spurred an investigation when over 200 of our country's finest soldiers were shunned and humiliated and told to "back-off."
Bob Dole has always had it right . . . where's the outrage?
Ted Kennedy spent Tuesday, April 26th recognizing the one year anniversary of Abu Ghraib, where a small few of our soldiers perpetrated some of the most horrific and dastardly deeds. But this United States Senator will not recognize - with even one verbal utterance - the fall of Saddam Hussein, or the establishment of democracy in Iraq, where hundreds of thousands were killed at the hand of this dictator. Over 50 million people free and Kennedy won't say one good thing about it.
If Tom Delay chastises a judge for his arrogance - reasserting Congress's authority to review the judiciary -- this becomes absolutely unacceptable and there will be "hell" to pay. But let several Democratic members of Congress call the President of the United States a liar and murderer, and no one questions those inflammatory comments.
So, am I to understand that the Judicial Branch of Government merits more respect than the Legislative and Executive? Where did I learn all three were equal?
It's time to decide on which side you stand -- no more fence sitting. There's too much at stake for any of us to put up with this any longer. We're weary of calling our Senators and Representatives, writing letters, signing petitions, making protests, marching for our cause . . . and nothing gets done.
Where do Americans go to get their country back? I miss it.

Agreed 100 Percent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good article
YEAH! Gimme some of that revolution!! I want the OLD America back, with criminals punished according to their crimes, safe streets, low defecits, the whole nine yards. When the Fathers wrote, "...one nation under God..." I think they meant that the nation would remain together (and remain in His blessings) as long as we remain "under Him" by practicing biblical morals and values AS A NATION.
A nation under God is a STRONG nation.
Ok, I am with you.
So let's give you a little test to see "which side you stand."
1-Does the TSA violate your Amendment IV rights?
2-Does Congress violate private property owners Amendment II rights by prohibiting airlines from allowing their customer's to help in defending their property from hijackers by asking their customer's to be armed?
3-Does the minimum wage law, ADA laws violate Amendment V?
4-Does the War on Drugs violate Amendment IX?
Hail Odin!
Other than that, I agree completely.
Defend the US CONSTITUTION - Locked and Loaded
One if by land two if by DNC!
Could this be the official motto? Says it all!!
Don't Tread on ME! Worked.
...Assuming you're talking about the Pledge of Allegiance, the Fathers didn't write "one nation under God". "Under God" wasn't added to the Pledge until 1954.
I'm all for spirited debate, but the facts are rather important to keep in mind. ;)
Well said, Its_a_new_day. Thanks.
Socialists, masquerading as moderate Republicans(RINO's), have taken root in our Judicial and Legislative branches of government, distorting and diluting our Constitution with rules, regulations and legal interpretations that would infuriate the Founding Fathers.
It does appear to me that the silent majority, we conservative minded, God fearing, hard working patriots, have had enough of the 'politically correct' egotists telling us how we should live.
It will take a long time, and we may lose some battles along the way. But we can change the direction we are headed, and return this Nation to that "Shining City Upon a Hill" that we once were.
Keep fighting and keep praying!
Too Bad the GOP is about 15 years too late.
