ATLANTA (CNN) -- Jennifer Wilbanks, a Georgia woman missing since Tuesday night, has been found alive and well in New Mexico, a friend of the family told CNN.
Wilbanks was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and told her family she had been abducted and taken there, according to John Kim, a friend of Wilbank's family.
Excerpt - story follows:CNN
They think she was abducted!
Fabulous news, I hope she is OK, Great news
I just knew she was dead! I'm so happy for her family and now maybe she can get married and live happily ever after!!!
Cnn is doing the story now.
You're fast, good job!
This is wonderful, I must admit I didn't think there was much hope.
The Fox News Alert also said she has spoken with her family by phone, and something about the fiance giving a thumbs up to the media.
You may already know this, but just in case. . . Prayers answered!
Weird. Georgia to New Mexico...
Thanks! Tuned to CNN!
Her abducters let her go. They got scared. They cut her hair and put her in a blue van!!!
OMG - I've surfed around and CNN is the only one reporting on this.
Good thing they didn't cancel the wedding. Amazing.
CNN on phone now with a pastor: her abductors let her go and she got to pay phone. They originally came up behind her and cut her hair and took her. Abductors were strangers to her.
She found her way to a pay phone and called. They were strangers. Taken to a hospital for examination.
Her fiance gave a thumbs up (per FOX News breaking news).
Over here. Guess someone else had it up first.
How is it possible that I posted a thread 20 seconds after I saw the live Foxnews info (at 3:00 AM) and it gets pulled because there is a duplicate thread? Freerepublic is amazing. Looks like Im not the only night owl here. :)
Uncalled for, especially at this time!
A man and a woman abducted her; she escaped into a gas station tonight, per Fox.
When she talked to her family she said they cut my hair, they let me go and I found my way to a phone. Her family are laughing and are heading to New Mexico per Fox News!
Well, I take back all my unvoiced suspicions about her fiance.
This is not one of those wedding deals were they kidnap the bride is it?
Unless he was trying to have her "Fargo'd."
Thank goodness. Abducted or cold feet or psycho?
They are taking a flyer and crossing out missing and replaced it with not! She is fine and will be reunited with family ASAP. Two abducters took her while she was jogging.
My husband and I were wondering this afternoon if Jennifer was hyperthyroid and had gone wacky and got cold feet over the wedding and just took off.
In a way, I hope that is the case rather than having her suffer what would have occured with an abduction, but either way, I'm really HAPPY that she is alive!!
OH THANK YOU, GOD.
Per Fox a man and woman abducted her. They cut her hair. A clump of hair was found at an office building parking lot about a mile from her home.
Unbelievably wonderful news! I never expected her to be found alive.
I can't believe they released her instead of killing her after she got such a good look at her. THANK GOD they let her go! At least, ONE HAPPY ENDING!
Abducted... found alive... headed to the Hospital to get
I hope she is okay - the trauma will be horrible.
I didn't either - especially after they found the clumps of hair.
This is weird. A little too weird.
Wonder if the abductors will ever be found?
NEITHER DID I!
kinda odd how she has a quick answer for the "clump of hair" found....this whole story is weird.
I was just watching Greta talking to the father, went to the ladies room and returned and then saw they found her, thank God!! A happy ending for once.
I can't even imagine the euphoria the family is feeling right now. Happy ending, indeed!
Behold the mystery that is FReeping.
The family has the phone number of where she called because it's on their phone ID. I guess she has a good description of the people who took her.
This is wonderful news!! Thanks be to God, indeed. I was just sure we were going to see another "Body found in a pond" story soon .... Glad to be proved wrong!
Does this mean the wedding is back on for this weekend?
At this point, few know what really happened, but she left her wallet and keys at home when she went on the jog, so it would have been pretty difficult to get to New Mexico with nothing.
