She had a blood saturation level of 65 to 70 percent carboxyhemoglobin, or COHb, which is a measure of the carbon monoxide in a patient's body, said her father, Greg Aldrich.
Anything over 25 percent is very serious, and it is extremely rare to survive levels above 50 percent, said Dr. Norman Yanossky, chief of Emergency Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

Is it too late to withhold food and water?
Great story about "Where there's life, there's hope."
I smiled when I read this from the story:
''I can't wait to go back to Montreal," to the hospital, she said. ''That way they won't give up on anybody else."
She was in a coma for a month, not 15 years, and her brain didn't disolve into a sack of fluid. She had corbon monoxide poisoning, not oxegen starvation.
Big difference.
It was only a few weeks before they starved Terry that a young woman awoke from a coma after 19 years - "persistant vegetative state" who was sent home with loving dedicated family. First words were" Hi mom" - I can't help but think Terry's parents were waiting for that moment as well. As far as the medical data we were supplied by MSM- about Terry's tests- I have never seen a case after 30 years as a nurse of someone's brain "dissolving" - He had a better lawyer- one that was on the board of the Hospice she was in.was .Hospice care is free- no use spending all that malpractice money!
ping
The key is she got therapy.
The key is she wasn't married to Michael the philandering murdering monster !!! ;-))
She had a saturation level of what 65 %, This displaces O2 and certainly is oxygen starvation. Since murderer hubby Shiavo denied his wife proper treatment, we will never know if she might have recovered. Sorry, it is not different except in one way. This girl's parents fought tooth and nail to save her- unlike the murderer husband in the Shiavo case. One must trust justice will be served in the next world if not this one.
If you're referring to Terri, then you still don't get it. I'm probably wasting my breath here, but Terri wasn't in a coma for 15 year and her didn't disolve into a sack of fluid.
There's also a big difference between the situation you describe, and the description I have read of Terri Schiavo. Oh and by the way, the way Carbon Monoxide "posion's" you, is to displace all of the oxygen in your blood.
Thanks for your personel view, Mike.
