It was fine comedy.
And you could tell that W was setting it up from the beginning.

So cool! Sorry I missed the broadcast. Love this first lady, she's awesome!
Wonder if Hillary! could ever pull something like this off?

I'm looking forward to seeing it in it's entirety.
It seems like only yesterday, but Don Imus' 1996 roast of Clinton was a hard act to beat.

It feel so good to have good decent people in the Whitehouse! Makes you proud to be an American again.
I didn't feel that way with the Clinton's in there. But I sure do feel proud with President and Mrs Bush there.

Cedric mentioned that he passed a Secret Service security check. The good news - he has no prostrate problems. Pretty darn funny evening...

She was soooo funny last night. Really good timing, and the jokes were an absolute riot.

I saw a shot of the various guests that were in attendance and I wonder how on earth these liberals that spew forth such vile lies about President Bush on a daily basis can attend this type of function with the man they hate. It boggles my mind. Last year I remember seeing Al Franken in the audience...I thought I was going to throw up.

My favorite line was the one about why W gets along with Cheney & Rumsfield so well...

It was hilarious...Laura looked lovely- sparkling.
The jokes were successful because there is such abundant and obvious love between these two.
The president was having a blast- he loved every minute of it- just look at the pics of them both:)

Anyone know if and when CSPAN will repeat this? I tuned in late for one airing and saw Cedric the Entertainer (who was pretty funny) but nothing else.

Hubby and I went out to eat after Church this morning.
A large group of 70+ types were at the next table over, and one woman carried on for a good 5 minutes about how cute and funny Laura was.
She was quoting one joke after another!
