Darwins "theory" of evolution is certainly not criticism-free, even by other biologists. The history of life on Earth is rife with cataclysmic upheavals and mass extinctions, followed by rapid change and introduction of new species, etc. Few scientists believe in the neat, evolving "story" disseminated by Darwin.

OTOH, everybody loves light bulbs.
