Alan still does not believe the Swift Vets. He is divorced from reality, and does not handle it well.

Has anyone noticed how grim and scary Colmes is looking these days? Rigid face, totally dead eyes, lack of normal facial emotions, lack of lightness and humor plus his nastiness and inquisitorial tactics are indicative of how extreme liberalism negatively affects the body and soul (if he has a soul). I thought he always looked like that!

I do not believe W is their bud. W respects the OFFICE of President, not necessarily those who held it. I think some of his 'niceness' to the toons is to try to shut them up - of course, it does not work.
Meanwhile, others go after them LEGALLY, such as with PP.

I have hit mute for much of their program for several nights. I will not listen to any of that drivel.

Actually, when he started out years ago, Colmes had much more lightness, humor, a nicer nature and some animation.
Remember over the years how many freepers would comment that he was one of their "favorite liberals"? Remember how he was styled as "wrong ideology, but fair" ?
I think the fact that GW won two elections, that liberalism is under constant attack and that he's essentially ninth banana to Hannity on the show has created a grim, unhappy Colmes.
When the Revolution comes, Alan will be a functionary with wire-rimmed glasses, faceless and in a drab uniform, sitting behind a desk while sentencing each of us freepers to life at hard labor in the Gulag.

Sean Hannity and the producers need to wake up and see the damage that Colmes does to the show. Liberals dont like him and won't watch the show. Colmes' book was a total bomb.
As you point out correctly, he has now gone sour and over the top. He needs to be put out to pasture and quickly.

Peter had a great appearance with Tony Snow this morning.
Here is a Texas station that streams the replay.

Doug,
You were on Sean's radio show today, weren't you?
It seemed to me that Sean did not like Paul, and a couple of times was almost rude.
Did anyone else feel the same way?

Yes, I was on the show. It is not that he didn't like Peter. Sean was trying hard to understand a very complicated story.
