FRAMINGHAM -- A group of community leaders is trying to add a new voice to the debate over immigration. Still in its forming stages, the group has been holding informal meetings over the past year to find out the best way to counter messages of a local organization that opposes illegal immigration.

"To say illegal is illegal don't present the whole story. One day, you can be illegal, and the next day you can have your green card. Our government provides mechanisms for people to adjust their immigration status. There is a lot of misinformation out there."

Translation = There is no such thing as illegal immigration

It's like these people just want to fling open our borders and say, "Come in everybody"

Spin, spin, spin. It is all about pandering to anti-American law-breakers. That is cool to the left.

. . . the group has been holding informal meetings over the past year . . . in California orange groves. Shockingly, none of the organizers wanted to give their names.

If these people want to let illegal foreigners cross our border then they should pay for it and not the rest of us. They should pay for the schools, doctors, welfare, housing and anything else that is needed. The American people should not have to be burdened with the left-wing fascist concept of doing what they think is the destruction of this great nation.

I've got nothing against folks wanting to come here and make a new living for themselves and their families. BUT! COMMA. HOWEVER!

Do it legally.

You come here illegaly and you have shown a blatant disregard for our Laws. You border jump to grab some cash, social services (medical care, welfare, ect..), or to spawn another anchor baby, and then jump back across... don't expect to be considering anything other than the scum sucking thief you are.

I wonder what all the immigration laws are supposed to be, then.

But if you are pardoned, you are no longer a criminal, so it's really OK to be a criminal since you might not be one the next day.

not worth reading after the statement regarding the groups purpose: "to counter messages of a local organization that opposes illegal immigration.".

i favor *legal* immigration and am willing to go as far as increasing quotas to reflect reality.

i oppose *illegal* immigration, and am willing to go as far as mass forced deportations.

the members (40?) that are creating this (grass roots me thinks not) group include ":town officials, local coc, civic leaders and the brazillian "community"".

this freak show wants to stuff it up the republics arse, and will likely become a multimillion dollar paycheck clearinghouse, once the "public" starts kicking in donations.

barely worth commenting on again... enough said.

Close attention must be paid to groups such as this, no matter how small they are when they first form. There could be dozens of such groups in a state...representing several hundred thousands of illegals. They have enough power in Massachusetts to be on the verge of legally obtaining Ma. drivers licenses and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. When they obtain their drivers license they will be able to vote.

either you are new to the commonwealth, or you simply don't have enough lumps yet to stop banging your head on this wall.

these bitches on the fr are mostly outraged opinions of non massholes; the issues and outrage expressed here are national in scope. as for massachusetts, all hope was lost during the wheld administration. far as i can tell massachusetts contributors on fr are simply (and rightfully) considered side show freaks.

i was screaming this song all through the 80's... all it did was make me a ranting fool, one who is truly thankful he did not have a child here.

now, i only waste my time on these issue for my enjoyment, between shots.
