Oh, I remember now. We did see the name 'em & shame 'em show - I guess I just forgot where it was. He did have an assistant that kept filling his glass, and he got drunker and drunker, and just rambled, and mocked the crowd. I heard him talking about that show on one of his radio shows later. He was under the delusion that the more he drank, the clearer he got in his mind. Uh, OK, Mike. Maybe you were clear in your mind, but what you were saying was a jumble. And it's kinda bad form to insult people who paid good money to hear you speak.

I noticed even this past week, that when he fumbles he asks the audience for their favorite "bits" for him to do. There are only so many time he can prompt his base for requests for "Dr. UnSavage" or "Scungilli" routines.

In the Name 'Em and Shame 'Em show, he had lifesize cut-outs of Clinton, Hillary!, Albright, Cohen, et. al., on stage, and he said he was going to name them and shame them. Instead, he got so blasted that the more affluent audience members (this was Marin, after all) got up and left. He began insulting them, so more people got up and left. He never did his Name 'Em routine, he only asked the hangers on for their favorite routines, and then didn't do them.

In Concord, he had a more polished routine but the alcohol caused him to screw up and he skipped the entire third act. It's too bad, because he had Armstrong & Getty and Tom McClintock on the bill with him. I wonder how McClintock feels now about being on that bill with him (although he was long gone by the time the Savage antics began).
