In the Name 'Em and Shame 'Em show, he had lifesize cut-outs of Clinton, Hillary!, Albright, Cohen, et. al., on stage, and he said he was going to name them and shame them. Instead, he got so blasted that the more affluent audience members (this was Marin, after all) got up and left. He began insulting them, so more people got up and left. He never did his Name 'Em routine, he only asked the hangers on for their favorite routines, and then didn't do them.

I remember that. My husband and I were among those who got up and left. We don't live in Marin (we had to drive over the Richmond-San Rafael bridge to get there), and it was a bit of a drive for us, so I was even more angry with his "performance". We'll never go to another one of his events - we passed on the Concord event, even though we were invited by my husband's cousin and his wife to go. And Concord isn't much of a drive for us.

Hey, are you listening to Savage today? He sounds like he's testing his alcoholism. He's asking for listeners to call and explain what pushes them to the edge of drinking.

Maybe this is his way of reaching out? Maybe we're next going to hear that Savage is going to take a month off and go to a rehab clinic!
