"Man gets 35 years for murdering 15-year-old lover"
The 15 year old was never his "lover". He was a rape victim.
I seem to recall that the cops returned a naked and screaming boy with a bloody rectum to Jeffrey Dahmer, after Dahmer told the cops the boy was his "lover."
The boy was later served up as Dahmer's lunch.
"At some point, authorities said, the victim's mother called Gaston and wanted to know the whereabouts of her son."
Has our society really regressed to this point?
This would never have happened if society had only let them marry!

Not to worry. He'll get paroled for 'good behavior' in a few years and be out to do it again.
