No necessarily, some states limit the age differences, others will only push charges if the parents comply to push charges ie statutory, and it works both ways, an 18 year female can be charged with stat if the male is 17..

child must develop an "internal sense of knowing whether he or she is male or female,"

Nothing internal whatsoever about my awareness of my gender. What a bunch of maroons.

For one, the curriculum buys into theories that sex and gender are "constructed," not discovered at an early age.

Once again, the illogical and hypocritical liberal claim that gender roles are artificial and imposed, while being gay is "natural".

This is all nuts.

Cigarette smoking which undeniably costs years off the length of your life has been demonized and almost criminalized. Smoking makes you die a little younger.

Male homosexual sex, among the most lethal choices that you can make is encouraged. Anal sex makes you die a lot younger.

This is just an expression of the long-held belief by many that the physical differences between males and females don't mean anything. A child can decide which he/she is, a woman can "be" a man and a man a woman, and anyone who says that there is something concrete and uncontrovertable about the two genders is backwards and closeminded. It's sick and sad, but I'm not surprised they are trying to tell kids this now.

One group wants to teach sex to children, the other wants to have sex with them.

I think only one group, which wants to teach sex to children SO they can have sex with children.

TC: "I think only one group, which wants to teach sex to children SO they can have sex with children."

D: "I think there is only one group with both items on their agenda."

I wonder if you're both right.

About 99% of us are either unambiguous genetic and anatomical males, or unambiguous, genetic and anatomical females. A very small number of people have true genetic and anatomical abnormalities, but we don't make law or construct culture based on these small and sometimes heartbreaking exceptions.

Having said that: some particulars of social masculinity and social femininity are just oddities of particular cultures, but ALL cultures have standards of masculine and feminine. MOST of them make sense, actually, because they are based on actual sexual differences, e.g. higher percentage of male body mass is bone and muscle, higher percentage of female body mass is soft organ and fat; male upper-body strength significantly greater than female; female baby-nurturing equipment (genital tract, mammary development, and sensitive responsiveness to certain faces and voices --- an aspect of attachment) is notably superior to males'. Etcetera.

Plan A: If you want to empower people to go with their strengths--- if you want to favor femininity in girls and masculinity in boys, they will tend to be, as a consequence, interdependent and complementary to each other. That's what happens when you strengthen male or female gender identity in children.

Plan B: If you want to get people who are autonomous singletons who are unwilling or unable to get into stable interdependent and complementary relationships, you will minimize gender identity in children.

Myself, I go for Plan A. I didn't used to believe this way. I used to be a convinced, ardent, activist, gender-averse feminist. But I was wrong. I think that what convinced me more than anything else, is becoming the mother of boys, glorious boys, and realizing that I could either go with their strengths, or crush them.

I chose to go with their strengths. I personally think this is good for the human race. Good for my boys, anyhow.

Wow! My neighbor gave all her son's outgrown Tonka trucks to his little girl. She put them in a little circle and put hats on them! At last report she had given them all names... Meanwhile, her brother uses her twirling-baton as a light saber...

"But in a public-school curriculum, children deserve better."

You know, our kids DO deserve better than what we give them. Mine is a Senior and I am so glad that he's nearly done with school, then on to a Tech College; there was no way in h#ll we were going to pay for a Four Year Liberal Arts/Drinking degree courtesy of the UW system!

We don't have as much of this foolishness here in the Midwest, but if I knew then what I know now and we lived on either of the Left Coasts, I would've home schooled him.

(I know this situation is happening in MD. I'm surprised it's taken so long for this lunacy to move "inland." Maybe enough parents have finally had enough?)

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

More on the Maryland "sex-ed" lawsuit. Who the heck is in charge here? Obviously the inmates are running the asylum.

Couple things need to be done - get the adults back in charge, and until that's firmly in place, run like he!!. And get your kids away from these sick freaks.

Let me know if you want on/off this pinglist.
