"No, Lee....your son was convicted of a double murder"

Exactly. Scott wasn't convicted for having an affair. He was convicted for murdering two humans because they became an inconvienence to his delusional playboy lifestyle.

Consider: There was no cause of death, no crime scene, no motive, not a shred of evidence in the home or truck, no background of abuse, not even a harsh word was heard from Scott to Laci by any witness — including Sharon Rocha or Laci's siblings or friends.

I see, no motive. A sexual affair is a classic motive and the mere fact that he told the subject of the affair that his wife had recently died and he was single and available has nothing to do with what we call motive, hey.

This dope is clearly in denial.

"The appellate process?"Did someone say Scott Peterson and "The appellate process?"

Mmmmm! Please say it again! Slowly! Oh yea! Oh yea! Yes! Yes! Yes!

(lighting cigarette)

That was good for me. How about you?

Greta.

I hope his conviction will be reversed.

You are right about one thing.............."the enemy is us" if we can't see the difference between black and white. He is clearly as guilty as they come. You may need to clear your sinuses or something.

Well, bless Lee's heart... he's still worshipping the "golden child."

Goes to show us all, exactly how Snott's parents enabled him all his life. Yes, their perfect Snott, is not a sociopathic double murderer, for crying out loud, he is the VICTIM!

Well, think about it, Howlin. If the Peterson's had an ounce of decency in their body, they'd have to ask, "What went wrong?" "Are we somehow responsible?" "Is there something we failed to do in raising our son to cause such behavior?"

And if they are honest enough to acknowledge some degree of blame, what then? How do they deal with that truth. How do they now deal with the publics opinion of them?

For the Peterson's, it would seem that it's easier to live in Make Believe Land rather than seek out truth.

I've felt all along that a normal parent would have "gotten" the truth out of her son one way or the other.

Maybe they just consciously rejected any thought that might have even led them to even be the least bit suspicious.

I keep thinking about Sirhan Sirhan; at one of his parole hearings, he said he had been reading up on Bobby Kennedy, and he felt like, if Kennedy were alive, he'd want him to be released from prison after all these years.

That night Jay Leno said, "Talk about back luck: the one guy who would defend him and he killed him."

Scott Peterson killed more than Laci and Conner that night. It may be years and years from now, but the Petersons will "get it" one day; I just hope we don't have to listen to them moan and groan until then. Just go away.

Since he has been convicted of double murder, your opinion would seem to assume a fact not in evidence.

Hold on. My assumptions are not invalid: your seeming conclusion is to blame the sins of the child upon the father. That conclusion is not necessarily a logical one.

The parents' contribution to his character may or may not have been a positive one--we can agree or disagree. Scott is responsible for his actions, I think we both agree fully.

We've all seen good parents have children that choose to be monsters.

I stand by my belief that the Peterson's need prayer.

On balance, I think we agree more than we disagree.

I don't deal very well with people like Peterson's father who are in denial. It's a pernicious form of willful stupidity.

Sorry, I missed your post earlier; you're just a better person than I am; they are a very hard family to pray for, unless you want to pray for them to do the right thing and encourage their son to do the right thing and admit what he has done and tell the Rocha family what happened to their daughter.

"Maybe they just conciously rejected any thought that might have even led them to even be the least bit suspicious."

Selective reasoning, it would certainly seem. As I said, the parents would have to assume some of the blame if their boy committed the crimes, which I believe he did.

I should point out that I am not one who believes that all parents are to blame for their childrens criminal behavior. With the Peterson's case, judging by the families conduct, theirs is an exception.

If you read Crier's book, you'll be convinced you're right. As I said, toxic.

Well,Well,at least Lee Peterson has one other person in this Universe that believes like him.No further comment on your point of view. Thankfully, Scott, the murderer of his wife and only son is locked away for good and hopefully the full sentence will be imposed sooner rather than later!

Did you know that the Sr. Peterson's are trying to find a publisher to write a book? They can't find one who will publish their book is what I heard. These people are not delusional they are COMPLETELY DISHONEST. They KNOW that Snott killed Laci and Conner. They knew from the beginning. Anne Bird summed it up in her book by quoting Jackie as saying " The IMPORTANT thing is we MUST PROTECT Scott"!! GAG ME!!

"He will win on appeal and be set free."

"I hope his conviction will be reversed."

Wow! Voices of reason in the chaos of the lynch mob! I'm impressed!

I agree with both of you.

No evidence worthy of a conviction.

Howlin', I copied you just to get you all stirred up again! :-)
