I wonder how accurately this is being reported.
Foxnews has this story in their "half-hour" headlines.
You make a very good point. If the story is accurate, the preacher is wrong and needs to be relieved.
Accuracy? I doubt there's any--there's not "excommunication" in Baptist Churches, no authority to forbid communiun, although ministers run people off every day.
I wonder how accurately Joseph Stalin reported his victims' crimes.
My thoughts, too. The Press is exceedingly lazy in fact-checking in these kinds of stories. The organization Americans United for Separation of Church and State just issued a report saying that the Air Force Academy is heavily biased against non-evangelicals. When you get to the details of the report, they include as "evidence" things like the fact that the Academy plays its football games on Saturday, which is the Jewish Sabbath, so of course, that's showing bias against Jews.
"I wonder how accurately this is being reported."
As they say in Pennsylvania, "So don't I!" ^_^

THANK YOU.
It never fails to astonish me: when FReepers like a story from AP or Reuters, they immediately forget EVERYTHING we've learned about the MSM, and jump all over it.
And of course typical AP -- couldn't find one word to explain the pastor's stance, and couldn't locate one member who supported him.
