One would almost expect this in a state emasculated by liberalism like California or Massachusetts. Not including of course, freepers from those states! But this took place in the seat of the Confederacy...... Richmond, Virginia! This is truly sad. Virginia is an open carry state, originally. They have more recently passed a CCW law, mostly I think because a lot of folks were too intimidated by liberals and "only the police should be armed" cops. I'll bet this "citizen" works in DC. In fact I'll bet that a majority of the anti-gun weenies residing in Virginia are DC bureaucrats. JUST DAMN.

The only places I don't go armed are the places it is forbidden by law, and I completely avoid the places that have "No Fireams" signs posted. I'll spend my money where they respect my right to self defense.Yes. Great minds think alike. Many is the time that my friends of mine stopped at a Denny's for breakfast carrying. LEOs would come in and sit down next to us for breakfast. No issue. We'd discuss their Smiths and Colts, my Walther and my friend's Browning Hi Power 9. (this was in the early-mid 70s when Glocks weren't on the market). Cops in the mid west are much different from what I percieve they are today. Even in NC. Oh well, I have my CCW and should not be concerned. Karen, my wife, who is a terrific shot, does NOT like me to carry. tick... tock... tick... tock. I always carry on our Lake front property a Bond Arms .357 with snake shot. When we go for a ride in the Blue Ridge Mtns. I always carry one of my Sigs.

Times certainly have changed.
I carry an old shot out S&W 19 loaded with snakeshot around the farm. I took out 3 copperheads just today.
So you're a JDE guy, too? Small world.

Yes sir. I joined JD Edwards in march 1990. I was was positioned as a Senior Business Analyst and Ditribution Consultant on the Selected Accounts Team, headed up by John Watkins. I've worked with Jan Zappapis, Gary Fox, Bob Newman, Buffy Collison, even Idella Kircher on the ISO piece.
Ed should have stayed in his boots before going through the littany of three other presidents.
Anyway, what is / was your relationship with JD Edwards? Were you an employee, business partner, or a client?

PS --- I like your home page. Well done. You should be proud.
After 9-11, I bought every magazine, and book depicting this event. They are on my living room table. They will stay there for as long as I live.
Karen thinks I'm a fanatic, I told her that that's just too bad.
I sort of have a General Pershing attitude I guess.

We are a client, but I am in charge of integrating JDE with a host of other applications that we use in our processes, so I have had the opportunity to grow in my knowledge of the system. I'm the guy everybody goes to when they need something special in order to do their job.
Thanks for the comments on my profile page. I haven't changed it in years. I'm about to add some more content.

Well at the time (1995) it was ABB Power Generation in Richmond, VA. I didn't start there until 1997. We have since changed company names twice.

As I observed his behavior from the podium, almost within arm's reach [of] the most important elected officials and senior management of our county, it caused me to tremble."Too funny for words.

"I was beyond appall by the presentation of an armed citizen," Bob Atack, a local developer who attended the April 12 hearing, wrote in a letter to County Manager Virgil R. Hazelett. "As I observed his behavior from the podium, almost within arm's reach [of] the most important elected officials and senior management of our county, it caused me to tremble."".... then I wet myself, dove under a table, and started sucking my thumb and moaning softly," said Bob "Panic" Atack. When this reporter had a follow up question, "Panic" Atack screamed and ran out of the room. All attempts to contact him subsequently, failed.
