Two Minuteman Project volunteers men who described themselves as members of the neo-Nazi National Alliance pose near the Mexican border with a handmade sign bearing an image identical to that on Alliance pamphlets and billboards.
The men told fellow volunteers that a total of at least six Alliance members had joined the Minuteman effort in order to recruit new Alliance members and to learn where to conduct their own "Mexican hunts" once media attention flagged.
The men carried assault rifles in their vehicle and boasted that they were scouting "sniper positions." DOUGLAS, Ariz. | April 22, 2005 -- For months, Jim Gilchrist promised that his Minuteman Project would peacefully observe the Arizona border as a protest against illegal immigration. Volunteers he said there would be 1,300 of them would be carefully screened, with FBI help, to keep out white supremacists and racists. No one would be allowed to bear guns except those who had permits to carry concealed weapons.[snip]...[snip]
On April 2, as the month-long effort got under way, the Minuteman Project held a protest across the street from the U.S. Border Patrol headquarters in Naco, Ariz. Prominent among the demonstrators were two men who confided that they were members of the Phoenix chapter of the National Alliance the largest neo-Nazi group in America. One of the two, who sat in lawn chairs throughout, held a sign with arrows depicting invading armies of people from Mexico a sign identical to National Alliance billboards and pamphlets, except without the Alliance logo.
The presence of Alliance members was not much of a surprise, and there were likely more than that pair. "We're not going to show up as a group and say, 'Hi, we're the National Alliance," Alliance official Shaun Walker told a reporter in the run-up to the protest. "But we have members ... that will participate.".....
MMP Site Photo of rallies at the Naco and Douglas Border Patrol
The only thing concrete in the piece is the photo of the sign, which also appears at the MMP site. While the NA could have infiltrated the MMP in small numbers if they were discrete, it is also possible that the image may originate from some other source besides the National alliance.
The claim of assault weapons and "Sniper Positions" has to be crap or the MSM would have been all over it. Also the quote, "No one would be allowed to bear guns except those who had permits to carry concealed weapons." can't be right since open carry is legal in AZ.
We also do not know if the ones in the picture were merely at the rally or were also on the border watch which would be subject to MMP screening.
More lies and misrepresentations...
If any of it was true, the MSM would have gobbled it up immediately.
I do not think that those type of people would have so cavalierly "volunteered" this type of information to the likes of the Southern Poverty Law Center in any case. It is just as likely that the people they were talking to were planted there by themselves to invent this story.
One would not be using inaccurate paint sprayers for sniper positions, but rather bring expensive scoped rifles. The thing sounds BS-ttish.

Maybe there are some infiltrators but maybe he just liked the graphic.
The SPLC wants the Minuteman Project to fail and would LOVE to see some of the white supremacist groups join in.
They want trouble and will be DISAPPOINTED if they can't find a "hate" group involved.
What hypocrites these libs are.
They're angry that the MM project has caught on BIG TIME. The idea that the MM are racists is patently FALSE.
That could be. I was wondering if there was another source for the map like atzlan or other group. I searched for it
but did not find a match, which by no means is saying there
is not one.
Wait, wait wait! I thought that the Democraps were against this!
Who invited the racist pig?
MM can't afford racist people in the ranks, is all I'm saying. Weed out the bad, and send 'em packin' :)
Jeff
Your attitude is about as wanted as illegal immigrants.
The SPLC is a money maker for the lawyers pimping "victims" while the MMP is a citizen's group exercising their rights as US citizens.
The SPLC is just looking to make a buck and the "There's a Nazi in your closet" scare works well with their guilt ridden white liberal donor base.
Discreet and well-mannered neo-Nazis are still neo-Nazis. They oppose ALL immigration because they hate Hispanics. Conservatives oppose ILLEGAL immigration because it's major drain on the economy, a national security risk, etc.
So, neo-Nazis infiltrating the Minutemen is not a good thing.
