I've been watching "The Last Days of WW 2" on the History Channel, which, of course, includes tons of goose-stepping Nazis and Soviets. It seems very arrogant and overdone to me, giving me somewhat the same feeling I had when video of Saddam was shown shooting off his rifle in the air, as he grinned at the crowd sadistically, from a balcony. I hate it.

When I was in East Germany in 1983 I stood next to
Russian soldiers in various cities in their high
black boots.
BTW re. the way some women dress in East Europe.
though in recent years they are able to come around
some to west standards, BUT, it has been a different
world there. When I was there, no stores as we know
it. Only were little shops, no ads. of course. There
would be bill boards with Karl Marx and his sayings.
We can't compare what we have vs. that area, though
now getting a little more up to date.
