NOW we're told nothing stops states from enforcing federal immigration law after being told for years that their hands are tied?

States have been authorized to enforce federal immigration laws since 1996 as long as their police are trained. Someone in California should have thought of this idea years ago.

I just didn't know this, perhaps because of the hundreds of articles I've read where state and local authorities all cried the same thing: "It's a Federal issue and we can't do anything about it!"

Now I see why the CLEAR Act specifically permitting the enforcement of Immigration enforcement by local and state LEOs is absolutely necesary.

It eliminates any remaining convenient excuse for not enforcing our laws and deporting the illegals.
