That guy had an oddly-shaped head. Also, the image shown would have been a bit better had someone not put eye makeup and collagen injected lips on it. Now, he just looks like "King Fruitcake".

I think their heads were like that due to inbreeding..kinda like the people over at DU.

That kind of skull compression occurs in the birth canal; lots of newborns have that kind of "odd" shape to their skull.

If the baby wasn't turned often in its sleep, but left to sleep on one side, the skull would not "round out."

I know. My son's head measured 14" in circumference (and yes, it was godawful painful delivering him), and he had that weird elongation of his skull. We had to turn him frequently, and make sure he slept on his back, to round it out. Since he was almost completely bald for the first year and half, any imperfections were quite visible. He looks perfect now.
