So that should be the end of the discussion right there.

Any pharmacist that refuses to fill a valid prescription from a Dr should immediately lose their license to dispence medication. Absolutely.....if this was a police state.
Let's just skip the whole deal and throw the pharmacist to the lions. I mean freedom of religion isn't a right anymore, is it? - sarcasm

Same thing.

"Walgreens and CVS have policies that give the Pharmacist discretion"
Hmmm, that's interesting. Well if the pharmacist is acting on his beliefs within the scope of his employment contract...good for him. I guess the patient can always shop around.

This issue seems to be occuring more and more, must be a moral conundrum to some pharmacists, who are essentially playing God. The real moral conundrum is going along with this orchastrated effort by baby killers to force pharmacists to have a hand in killing children.

Exactly. Planned Parenthood would jump on something like this like white on rice regardless on how flimsy the evidence and witnesses. I am not saying it couldn't happen but I certainly would scrutinize the facts a lot more closely.

No one is FORCING the pharmacist to do anything. This isn't communist China. The pharmacist is free to walk to the other side of the counter and sack groceries.

So that should be the end of the discussion right there. It should be. But the baby killers are making an orchestrated effort across the country to try to force pharmacists and pharmacies to assist in baby killing. This lady's story has a bad stench to it.

That's funny. I found that the biggest supporters of abortion are those who will most likely not have one.....aka Lesbians.

Police state? That's why doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. are licensed by the state as professionals. They perform an important professional service for the public, and they are expected to maintain their ethics (not morals). This has nothing to do with a police state. I don't agree with abortion either, but if this pharmacist is not filling a doctor's prescription, they should lose their license. What other important drugs will this person withhold? I don't care what Walgreens' policy is, this is not a trivial matter, and I think the authorities need to step in on this.

``It's one thing to conscientiously object. But you cannot intend to inflict emotional harm on a woman when she is making a very important and often very emotional decision in her life.''
What law supports this statement you lower-than-pond-scum trial attorney?"
The law that supports this assertion is the Tort: Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress. This tort provides a cause of action to someone injured by outrageous conduct of another if the person intended to inflict emotional distress upon the other. Do not interpret this as support for this woman's claim. I think she is ridiculous, and will probably lose even if she can prove the pharmacist said what she claims. To me this is not outrageous conduct.

They perform an important professional service for the public Since when are doctors forced to perform abortions? What kind of country do you think this is? To be a certain profession, you must perform whatever task the state demands!!!???? Oh puh_leeeeez, I hope that is not what you advocate.

What other important drugs will this person withhold? So, pharmacists and pharmacies should be mandated by the government to stock each and every drug that might ever be prescribed by any doctor?

I take it you think anyone should be allowed to practice medicine or law or engineering or pharmacy, and be able to call themselves a professional ____, just any Joe Blow off the street?

I am happy to see that Pharmacists do not legally have to fill the abortion pill.
The media sure has twisted it though, I think it was originally reported as "pharmacist refuses to fill birth control prescription", or some such nonsense.
To: Rob_DSM
Wow. That's a pretty bizarre stretch.
Maybe you hit the "Post" button before you were finished.
