VLADIKAVKAZ, Russia For more than a decade, Russia concentrated its security firepower in Chechnya, and it still has more than 80,000 soldiers and 12,000 police officers there trying to root out bands of Islamic separatists. But the search for militants has expanded all across Russian territories in the North Caucasus Mountains. Hardly a week goes by without news of security sweeps, detentions, skirmishes and killings of reputed militants in the region's villages and towns.
Shocked by an attack last June on police posts in Ingushetia, which borders Chechnya, and the bloody school seizure in Beslan in September, Russian security forces have intensified the hunt not just for rebel leaders but for rank-and-file militants. The aim of muslims everywhere...
Wouldn't it be better to seal the border of Chechenya with tall walls like Israel and give it independence? The sealed border will avoid terrorists flooding into Russia as well as foreing terrorists into Chechenya for assistance and they would be happy to stay in their dream land.
Chechnya had independence and it's a precurser to what the PLO will be: jihadist indocternation, jihadist training, murder of non-islamics, slavery, gun running, murder, drug running, kidnapping, etc. Besides 1. try building a wall across the Rocky Mountains. 2. Will Georgia build a wall on their side too or continue to stamp the visa of every single islamic coming through while accepting Uncle Sugar's money to control the entry?
