Good question. Several years ago I worked for a nun who was the head of Mission Effectiveness (basically the ethics department) for a major catholic hospital chain. She absolutely told me that she DID NOT BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER. I swear those were her exact words. To this day I don't understand why she wanted to become a nun or how or why she ever was placed in charge of ethics for the entire hospital chain. She was a bitter, unhappy old lady who was the meannest employer I ever had.
