"OUT at the Park" is a gay weekend event organized by a nonprofit organiztion interested in creating events that are fun social opportunities for GLBTQ community members of all ages.

And just like Disney Land, Disney World, Sea World, 6 Flags, Magic Mountain or any other PUBLIC theme park; the theme park is going to pay the price. Some uninformed person is going to accuse the theme park of organizing and promoting this type of event.

The fact of the matter is that ANY group can organize and descend upon ANY PUBLIC theme park; and if the theme park denies them entrance, or does/says or even looks askew at that group, the theme park will be sued for discrimination. The groups know this, and they want to exploit this to their benefit. For these groups, it's nothing more than a power-play to insult not only the parks reputation, but to force parents to explain the concepts of 'perversion' to a child.

So, what are the odds that the parks which you listed would allow a "straight-pride day" to take place?

I believe that "ANY group" would end there.

In fact, if my memory serves me well, there was a Christian group that wanted to have a "Christian Day" at a theme park and was turned down.

I've always wondered why gay people insist on putting their bedroom out on their front porch...if you get my meaning.

"Public" theme parks? WHICH municipalities own them? To be a 'public' park they would have to be supported by tax monies. No?

They are PRIVATE parks, opened to the public, at the pleasure of their owning corporations - who can discriminate between which activities they will allow, and which ones they will not allow. They allow these particular events on their properties because they are without scruples and are only interested in profit.

I think Dollywood was one of the parks that actually forced the homos to stop using the logos of the park.

Disney gives group rates, special reception/parties, and hotel blocks.

However they continue to refuse to warn mothers and fathers that homosexals are having a homo-sex day at the park.

That's not the problem. There are two. The problem is not that Disney World allows gay groups to swarm the park, the first problem is that Disney will NOT refund your ticket if you show up on Gay Day and find the park full of gay exhibitionists. It's happened to many families over the years who purchased advance tickets unaware of Gay Day. The second problem is that Disney sales employees on the phone, when you call for information, are not allowed by Disney policy to warm you that a particular day is Gay Day lest they be perceived as discriminating against gays. This leads directly to the first problem.

How does Dollywood handle this?
