PHILADELPHIA -- A missing baby has been found alive early Friday and a woman is in custody in connection with her disappearance.

Three-month-old Zaya Young is at Temple University undergoing medical treatment said the baby's grandmother, Angela Young Smith.

Officials told NBC 10 that the baby may have internal injuries.

A female suspect is in custody after the child was recovered around 2 a.m. at a residence on Palisades Drive. Police said a tip resulted in a visit to that house.

Police said they went to the East Falls residence and a pursuit on foot ensued, where the suspect threw the baby to the ground and then fell down an embankment.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday night after the girl taken from her mother at knifepoint Thursday near Olney Avenue and Marvine.

Tierra Young, 17, Zaya's mother, told police that about noon she was walking home after picking up the baby from a baby sitter. She was approached by a black woman in Muslim garb. The woman allegedly approached the mother with a knife and told her to get away from the baby.

Wasn't there another child abducted along with this baby? I'll look for the article. That was yet ANOTHER case of abduction, of sisters I think. The suspect in that case was a man. This was a three-month old taken from her mother at knifepoint by a woman in "muslim" garb. Thank GOD this baby is still alive!

I don't think simply brandishing a knife could induce me to hand over my three-month-old daughter. I'd have to actually be cut to the point where I could no longer hold the child before the perp got her away from me.

Has anyone heard the story of the little black girl that was shot twice and abducted, and got away? I heard it on Fox news yesterday morning and have not heard or read anything since? I can't find anything, either? What was the story??? I thought this would be big news, but, nothing.
