Oh OK that. That just carries a 'SS presents' tag. It's not a film that he made. As for his films tanking, apart from A.I., which wasn't intended to have much mainstream appeal films like 'Minority Report' and 'Catch Me if you Can' did very well. 'The Terminal' was a cheaply made film that made a profit it didn't do better because it just wasn't very good compared to the others. 'War of the Worlds', later this year, looks like it will be huge.

Even communist/socialist/progressives/neo-marxist need capitalism to get there, just don't expect them to throw their wealth into the collective pot at the end. Hollywood sees themselves as a major player in the collective change, either through the garbage they spew or the billions they make their goal to me is quite clear. Can you think of any other industry that is so prejudice against other beliefs, conservative beliefs specifically. Except for the occasional token Conservative you are just not welcomed. Thus IMO the whole industry wreaks of a much grander plan. Spielberg? well don't bet against it, film content isn't the whole story.

The Communist dialectic for Revolution relies upon "pressure from above, and pressure from below"
TO attack the morality they relied upon the transmission belt supplied by Hugh Hefner and his "playboy philosophy"
aided by ACLU trained attorneys and Judges and "progressive" Legislators to provide their pressure from above. That filthy man who it is reported made his own daughter dance naked before his reprobate and wicked guests followed the Playboy philosophy to the extreme and is noted by some in the press as some sort of hero for what
they call First Amendment Rights to debase women and enrich Hustler.

Thanks for your response. The films you mentioned haven't done well, depite the fact that Spielberg used A list stars. Unless he puts his wife, Ms. Capshaw, in a an R rated heterosexual Christian movie, he's going the way of Goldman/Goldpuss (or whatever they were).

The ACLU should be investigated as a criminal organization using the RICO laws. Michael Savage is right.

One of my favorite actors Eric Bana will be in it (I'm a woman BTW), so I'm excited to see the film.

Few commercial directors are willing to dedicate themselves to causes such as SS, but would it be wrong to say that he looks an awful lot at the evils of the past (The Color Purple, Schindler's List, Amistad, and Saving Private Ryan--all great movies)? If he's going to do that, why not focus on the horrors of the here and now? As one of the most--if not the most--successful American directors, he could be making commentaries on the time that we live in (as well as reminding us of the past and what might be in the future).

The two films I mentioned as having done well did do very well. Look at imdb.com

As for this, I have no idea what you're talking about and don't really think I want to.

You do know who Mr. Spielberg is married to, don't you? And what cable movies she starred in, don't you? If not, I'd be happy to enlighten you.

This upcoming film about the Munich Olympics is as contemporary as he has been.

I know who Kate Capshaw I just don't know what sexuality has to do SS who's as modest about the subject as any contemporary filmmaker. BTW she has converted to Judaism.

It's a twofer: Spielberg gets to attack two of his favorite targets. What's not to like? Prediction: Box office disaster. Private bet?

No thanks. What are you trying to prove? He's attacked the Nazis not contemporary Germans. And what's his other favorite target? Islamic Terorrists?

Then why would you allow your wife to be a lesbian in a Showtime movie? These Walls Have Rears or something...

SS may be modest, but he has alot of reasons for being so.

That's true, it was only thirty years ago. But somehow I think he could be making a movie about the US, Africa or the Middle East in the post 2000 era and be doing a better good job.

Oh, that's just my lazy shorthand for Steven Spielberg, LOL.

I would guess that not everyone has the sort of control over their wife that you may have. :-) We're talking about adults here. People are responsible for themselves. Look at Ron Reagan Jr.

He made his fortune in the free enterprise system but has consistently supported its polar opposite, the socialist/liberal agenda.

Spielberg made his reputation by making movies that appeal at the same time to both kids and adults, besides his more 'serious' work such as SHINDLER'S LIST. He's wrapped himself in the child-like aura of such classics as ET: THE EXTRATERESTRIAL, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND and INDIANA JONES.

While I wouldn't call him a Communist I find it instructive that a person who's made a pile of cash selling his products to the kiddies would resign from his Executive position on the Board of the BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA in protest of the decision to deny homosexuals as Scoutmasters.

At least he's given a plain indication of his priorities: He favors Queers over children and wholesome organizations that would nurture them.

To the best of my knowledge, Ron Reagan Jr wasn't married to Ron Reagan Sr.

I would guess she does what she wants. She was something of a feminist when he met her. Getting an M.A. in Woman's Studies or something.
