“America,” said Joseph Stalin, “is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”

yet another example of Christianity under assault

But haven't you heard? It's the "right-wing Christians" who are trying to impose THEIR views on everyone. You must not have gotten the memo.

Another older source for the communist agenda of the ACLU is HERE

"Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.

Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and television.

Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural and healthy."

Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the communists took over. Obliterating the American past, with its antecedents in principles of freedom, liberty and private ownership is a major goal of the communists then and now.

Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc."

Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

How many of these are the ACLU fighting for every day? How easy is it to see the destruction of our society and what is at it's root? How many politicians with a (D) next to their name spout similar ideals?

The ACLU needs to be more widely shown to be the Communist front that it is. It needs to be outlawed before it does more harm to the United States.

on April 8, 2005, after an unsuccessful appeal to the Ninth Circuit, and without media fanfare, U.S. District Judge Robert J. Timlin signed an order requiring the immediate dismantling of the Sunrise Rock cross. That case, Buono v. Norton, has drawn the wrath of the American Legion, which is approaching the defeat with a novel solution.

The Legion passed a resolution calling on Congress to amend 42 U.S.C. Section 1988, to bar recovery of attorney fees to the prevailing party in cases filed for the purpose of removing and destroying religious symbols located on public property.

Rees Lloyd, a past commander of a Legion post in Banning, California, and himself a former ACLU attorney, drafted the resolution.

In an industry historically known for coddling communists (the blacklist, Jane Fonda, Stone, Spielberg and others

This part but it's clear from re-reading it that he had SS as someone who 'coddles Communists'. Nonetheless Spielberg is a bad example to toss in with Jane Fonda and Oliver Stone not to mention Armand Hammer and Soros.

Why? He made his fortune in the free enterprise system but has consistently supported its polar opposite, the socialist/liberal agenda. Spielberg's in good company with the four you named.

Yeah with socialist movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan. Come on. However if you're equating support for the the modern Democratic party with communism however then almost half the country is Communist. When I hear 'Communism' I think Lenin and Mao and their bnrethren. Not Adali Stevenson-stye liberals like Spielberg.

Steven Spirlberg never met a German he didn't want to kill or a Christian value he didn't want to destroy. He is an evil human being. The fact that his films have tanked is another indication of how out of touch this cretin is with mainstream American values.

There was a certain irony in my words that I tried to avoid, but...

I don't think Speilberg is to be lumped with Soros et al. He is liberal, but not a hateful: "I know better than you ignorant peons, so you better do as I say" type. He is more of an: "I was once a little person, and in my heart empathize with the little people. I will depict to the world the misery of all the little people (while I live in my five different mansions and a yacht)" type.

In fact, the ACLU is a very small organization and could not afford all the litigation is does without a provision in the law that makes the loser pay their l;egal fees and court costs.

Which means he believes in nothing and will attack those that who stand for anything; kinda like the Dems. He wraps himself in the flag but uses it to serve his own agenda. He's an evil SOB.

Other than that, he's not a bad guy.

[H}e's a one trick pony when it comes [to]themes.

I agree with you on that point. He treats the status quo (in his movies) with an intense disdain, sometimes quite deservedly so, but most times simply to beget cheap emotion from his audience (fear, sadness, etc.). He isn't a great film director like Scorcese, IMO, but he is a "people's" director. He's very good at tapping in to people's sympathies. Perhaps in the future he'll draw attention to current tragedies. Imagine what a movie like Hotel Rwanda could have acheived if it had had a director such as Speilberg at helm?

This is troublesome in this company. Turning a question of pure aesthetics into some form of Cryto-communism is misinformed. And it sounds too much like Stalin's description of Western Bourgeoisie art.

But Spielberg is about to launch a whiteman vs. indian diatribe in a soon to be released made for TV movie.

Oh OK that. That just carries a 'SS presents' tag. It's not a film that he made. As for his films tanking, apart from A.I., which wasn't intended to have much mainstream appeal films like 'Minority Report' and 'Catch Me if you Can' did very well. 'The Terminal' was a cheaply made film that made a profit it didn't do better because it just wasn't very good compared to the others. 'War of the Worlds', later this year, looks like it will be huge.

Even communist/socialist/progressives/neo-marxist need capitalism to get there, just don't expect them to throw their wealth into the collective pot at the end. Hollywood sees themselves as a major player in the collective change, either through the garbage they spew or the billions they make their goal to me is quite clear. Can you think of any other industry that is so prejudice against other beliefs, conservative beliefs specifically. Except for the occasional token Conservative you are just not welcomed. Thus IMO the whole industry wreaks of a much grander plan. Spielberg? well don't bet against it, film content isn't the whole story.

The Communist dialectic for Revolution relies upon "pressure from above, and pressure from below"
TO attack the morality they relied upon the transmission belt supplied by Hugh Hefner and his "playboy philosophy"
aided by ACLU trained attorneys and Judges and "progressive" Legislators to provide their pressure from above. That filthy man who it is reported made his own daughter dance naked before his reprobate and wicked guests followed the Playboy philosophy to the extreme and is noted by some in the press as some sort of hero for what
they call First Amendment Rights to debase women and enrich Hustler.

One of my favorite actors Eric Bana will be in it (I'm a woman BTW), so I'm excited to see the film.

Few commercial directors are willing to dedicate themselves to causes such as SS, but would it be wrong to say that he looks an awful lot at the evils of the past (The Color Purple, Schindler's List, Amistad, and Saving Private Ryan--all great movies)? If he's going to do that, why not focus on the horrors of the here and now? As one of the most--if not the most--successful American directors, he could be making commentaries on the time that we live in (as well as reminding us of the past and what might be in the future).
