Qui Gon Jinn (sp) said in Star Wars I that Anakin was the chosen one. He's ultimately the good guy because he kills the Emperor at the end of the Empire Strikes Back.

Darth Vader/Anakin was the chosen one, it just didn't work out like everyone (in the fictional Star Wars world) thought it would.

My 9 year old and my 30 something yr old husband can't wait.

I'm not sure it didn't work out.

He was supposed to bring "balance" to the force, but most of the jedi's were good, why would they want balance, thats like having a clot of cops and bringing in criminals to even things out.

He did bring balance, it went from overwhelming good to him cleaning house.

I always thought they got the whole prophesy wrong and it was his song who would straighten everything out.

"it just didn't work out like everyone (in the fictional Star Wars world) thought it would. "

If you are referring to gross miscasting and mis-writing for those miscast to play anakin, then I agree wholeheartedly.
