Bummer. Only 64 colors. The Atari 2600 VCS from the previous decade could display 128 simultaneous with the right programming.

I was thrilled to buy a basic 4 function calculator in the summer of 1973 to augment my slide rule for my freshman year in college. Radio Shack had a big sale for $110. The "rich" kids had HP-35 calculators. Professors managed an HP-45.

I started with Intellivision and the TRS-80 from Radio Shack.

As for the NES, some of those games and some of the old PC are IMO better that most of the stuff out there today. (Major exception being the sports games)

That was better than what I had. I grew up with an Atari 2600.

A earlier friend of mine actually had the original home version of pong.
