As a 46 year L.A. native, I can tell you that our tragedy is the country's future.

Shame on our government for not protecting our national interests.

When A.V. is called Mayor of L.A. this evening, watch for the Mexican flags come out! The REAL agenda is reconquista, not assimilation or U.S. citizenship.

We are fools

freedom from a corrupt govt, freedom to earn a good wage etc. And I have the freedom of being pissed off about the whole sorry state of affairs. Of course, if I express my disgust, I am a xenophobic racist.

Spot-On! The days of the Beach Boys inspired tunes and California Dreamin' are dead.

Nothing left to do but hit a pinata, sprain my back, go to the hospital for primary care, claim I'm an illegal and leave without paying. On the way home, I'll purchase a bag of oranges from the non-licensed street vendor or maybe indulge in a few street tacos from the illegal roach-coach parked at the gas station.

Ahh....multi-cultural bliss! Yo Amor L.A. Mexico!!

Please don't spoil the Cali haters' fantasies. It would shatter many closely held beliefs that all of southern California is a cesspool, including Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Newport Beach, La Jolla, etc.

And to think that back in the 1950's and 1960's, Los Angeles was the envy of the country, and so many Americans of that period dreamed of moving there someday.

I moved to LA in the early 60's. Glad I'm no longer there.

As a 57 year old native of Los Angeles let me tell you that your fears are overwrought. These illegal and legal Mexicans are a menace yes, but for them to take over Los Angeles is just NOT going to happen. Period

Stay tuned and watch how fast they get put into their place.

Remember you heard it here first

Uh, when is it going to start? It's been getting worse for as long as I can remember.

Ah....you may have a problem with LEGAL immigration but I don't. My beef is with the lawless.

PS: It IS happening! They are the fastest growing populace in CA. Check the pop. stats in CA lately?

with the new incoming mexican mayor, I think the U.S. whities and even the blacks will be (probably already are) the minority in LA. Most of LA is already a small third world country. They continue to encourage these people, with Antonia Vill.. they will be moving to the top of the list for services. I agree with prior poster, we should cancel our ins and claim to be an illegal and start getting some our money back. Lets see that would be $10,295 health ins premium savings, plus the $5,000 deductible and 30% co-ins.

I think we need to define what it means to 'take over'

In order to 'take over' they ( the Mexicans ) must control some significant business or market sector

Aside from the donkey labor sector the Mexicans have nothing

With a high school drop out rate of 60% there is little the Mexicans can do to control any sector of a 21th century economy

Sheer population numbers just ain't gonna cut it
