It is difficult to imagine someone this disconnected to street smarts becoming CEO or CFO of any major American corporation.

To say nothing of the most rudimentary of biological knowlege.
I assume every knows that the opposable thumb is the main and unique feature of the human hand; and hence the most important finger. Without it, the hand is useless.

So glad you said that! As I was reading through all of the responses - I was thinking - it's the THUMB which makes the HAND work. The middle finger is only there for support, like the rest!

I believe we ALL learned this in our Biology class in High School. I suppose she just took the FBLA classes and missed the others. JK

Quite correct. And it also seemed to me that this was a pretty stupid talk to be giving to graduating grad students. Think of the world like a hand, sheeesh! it's like an analogy you'd use with kindergarteners, except for the "middle finger" part.

she thinks of us as the middle finger, that was her point---she is just covering her ass by saying it is the longest finger blah, blah etc...I get your point witch, but I won't be getting any more pepsi...If I even go to a restaurant serving pepsi I will swith to water or coffee.
