A few years ago, Governor George Pataki signed a law making "video voyeurism" a felony offense in New York State, meaning the person responsible for installing the camera could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.

It wasn't that long ago.

I think it was within the last 2 years (last year?).

I remember when I was a kid, a high school girl telling me that she saw a video camera sticking out of the grate near the grade school where her sister was.
