National PTA shuts out ex-homosexuals
WorldNetDaily ^ | May 19, 2005

The National Parent-Teacher Association has refused an ex-homosexual group’s request to exhibit at its annual convention while welcoming a pro-homosexual activist organization – even inviting it to present a workshop.

Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays had its application to exhibit rejected because it supports former homosexuals. The National PTA, however, sought the attendance of Parents, Families and Friends of Gays, a pro-homosexual advocacy group that promotes in same-sex marriage.

With 6 million members, the National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. One of its purposes is "to be inclusive in its efforts to represent and assist all who nurture and educate children."

"As we indicated on the application, our purpose at the National PTA exhibit is to distribute educational publications promoting inclusive school environments for ex-gay students and educators," said Regina Griggs, PFOX’s executive director. "We fit right in because one of the themes of this year’s National PTA convention is diversity. Ex gays are people, too. And it’s about time the National PTA recognized that fact of life."

According to the National PTA, PFLAG will present a workshop that "raises awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, their families, and the issues pertaining to them in the school environment. Participants will receive a ‘how-to’ guide for improving the school environment for LGBT students."

"We submitted exhibit materials for the National PTA’s review that included a booklet for students and teachers on how to address homophobia in the public schools from an ex-gay perspective," said Griggs. "We also included an information sheet from the NEA Ex-Gay Educators Caucus outlining the goals sought by ex-gay teachers for diversity, tolerance and inclusion for all, including both ex-gays and gays. Who could be opposed to that?"

The National PTA has also allowed "It’s Elementary," the gay affirming video for schoolchildren, to exhibit at its conference for the last three years.

Earlier this month, PFOX won a decision against the Montgomery County School Board in Maryland, halting the implementation of a sex ed curriculum that would have promoted gay religious organizations over ex-gay ministries and traditional religions. The judge, in writing his decision, criticized the curriculum “viewpoint discrimination” by excluding ex-gay material. The school board had also approved materials published by gay advocacy groups that positively portray homosexuality while making negative references to ex-gays.

"The National PTA is discriminating against a class of students and that is just wrong," Griggs said.

What's the average lifespan of a gay man vs. straight?

Anyone?

The National PTA has also allowed "It’s Elementary," the gay affirming video for schoolchildren, to exhibit at its conference for the last three years.

Now there's an interesting turn around. One of the homosexuals interviewed in the It's Elementary video is also interviewed in the I Do Exist video... as a former homosexual. The PTA would more than welcome him as a homosexual, but not as a former homosexual.

Lately, drug cocktails are helping to extend the lifespan of homosexuals...

Well...my point is...I was under the impression that your "typical" gay guy does NOT have the same lifespan of a heterosexual guy. 'Specially one who's married.

THAT said...WHY OH WHY OH WHY does the left keep killing off their voting bloc? (think abortion and this lifestyle...)

Whatever it is, they'll blame moralists for telling them to live well and behave reasonably.

Somehow that advice causes their problems, rather than helping them.

AND it's our fault for saying it, rather than theirs for scoffing at it... You can't win with them, you can only lock them up for breaking the law occasionally.

I believe your point is still quite valid, but drug cocktails are extending their lifespan. If it wasn't for the drug cocktails... And if that supervirus takes off, the lifespan of homosexuals will once again dramatically drop.

Regarding the average lifespan of gay men, I believe it would be too short to provide their parents comfort in their old age. Something like late forties.

Cameron P, Cameron K, Playfair WL.

Family Research Institute, Colorado Springs, CO 80962, USA.

Previous estimates from obituaries and pre-1994 sex surveys suggested that the median age of death for homosexuals is less than 50 yr. Four contemporary databases were used to test that estimate: (1) obituaries in the homosexual press from 1993 through 1997 reflected treatment success for those with AIDS but suggested a median age of death less than 50 years; (2) two large random sexuality surveys in 1994--one in the USA and the other in Britain--yielded results consistent with a median age of death for homosexuals of less than 50 years; (3) the median age of those ever married in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway was about 50 years, while that of the ever homosexually partnered was about 40 yr; further, the married were about 5 times more apt to be old and 4 times less apt to be widowed young; and (4) intravenous drug abusers and homosexuals taking HIV tests in Colorado had almost identical age distributions. The four lines of evidence were consistent with previous findings suggesting that homosexual activity may be associated with a lifespan shortened by 20 to 30 years.

The following supports Cameron's study, but it's dated as well: Modelling the impact of HIV disease on mortality in gay and bisexual men

Good question, ask a gay activist. You'll get an immiediate resounding *silence*... It's the only surefire method of shutting them up when they are ranting on and on about how awesome the gay lifestyle is.

Funny, I really see no hint on their web page that the National PTA is a radical homosexual activist group. I guess the leaders just stealthly adoopted this agenda.

I, for one, hate the PTA. And I hate the teachers union. I also hate the leadership of the democRat party.

They're all run by the same evil people, and they're all out to destroy American values.

A pox on all their houses!

After these leftist idiots destroy Christianity in this country, the Muhammadans they suport will 'fill the gap" and install their values on them, whether they like it or not.
Then openly gay or lesbians will recieve they typical Islamic punishment- a bullet in the head or a beheading, public stoning.
Although homosexual behavior is rampant in Islamic countries, it stays in the closet or else.

Gays generally live into their mid 40s, straights into their mid 70s. Can't find the citation though... I did a research paper on this a while ago.

And now companies want to fire employees that even smoke at home because they are health risks. Guess this means they'll have to fire their bone smoking employees now.

"The National PTA is discriminating against a class of students and that is just wrong," Griggs said."

Well, that's sexist. I suggest a anti-discrimination lawsuit against the PTA. They sound sexist to me.
