Video is disturbing.

This is the one where a couple people got killed. The film maker didn't have permission to be out there filming, and if I recall, was one of the ones killed.

There was a fairly famous Mexican actor/dancer named Edgar Ponce killed.

Details here.

The usual... drunk ass goes plowing through back of bikers. Nothing overtly horrific or bloody but it's just painful to watch.

Just shows you how fast it can all happen. These guys were just motoring along and whammo, they're going down.

Sometimes you have to wonder about idiots who drink and drive. What they hell are they thinking?

Sometimes I'm glad I can't ride anymore.

I was drooling over a co-worker's bike this morning. It is your perfect biking day here in NJ. Clear skies, a little cool ... just perfect.

I was thinking about how nice it would be to eBay up a nice bike, just like the one I had way back when...

This video put an end to that sort of thing for a while!

Thinking of themselves only... and apparenly drinking till one's face is in the dirt gives one superhuman protection too. Back when I was in the fire department, a guy ran into a mini-van head on and killed everyone in it. He got away with a scratch. Glad I wasn't there to scrap up that mess. The guys who were there were pretty messed up for weeks.

Back when I rode, I had a policy to be off the road before dark. Not because it was hard to see or be seen, but because that is when the drunks come out. It only takes one drunk cager to ruin your whole day.

Of course, some are drunk during the daylight hours, but they are more rare.

"commercial on Cinco de Mayo"

Keep in mind that the commercial most likely was for beer.

Looks like a drunk driver driving a Mercedes or Lexus plowed into a couple of motorcycles, then swerved to his right.

Very disturbing and graphic....

Riding around Mexico City late on Cinco de Mayo is surely not the smartest thing one could do on a motorcycle, but nobody deserves this.

Would it be any better, late on Tres de Mayo? Quatro de Mayo?
