Keystone board warned to stop prayers
By HEATHER LESKANIC Oil City,PA

The ACLU says it was advised that almost every school board meeting in the district opens with a prayer.

KNOX - Keystone School District officials say they have been warned by the American Civil Liberties Union to stop their long-standing tradition of offering a short prayer before regular board meetings and at student graduations.

"The district as far as the administration is concerned will comply with all of the state and federal guidelines pertaining to prayer," Superintendent Henry Sinopoli said Thursday. "I believe the school should comply with all the laws and do all we can to address all of our diverse populations."

Prayers had been offered at the start of board meetings for a number of years, either by area clergy or the superintendent.

Sinopoli said he had "never heard a complaint" about the activity.

He said the ACLU letter concerning the issue came as a complete shock.

Please, somebody, put this organization out of their misery. They must be a group of unhappy people to get their knickers in a twist about this stuff! What are they, a bunch of masochists? Do they enjoy the loathing that is directed their way every day?

If all the school board members choose to open the meeting with a short prayer - now the ACLU stops it. The founding fathers of this country would have vomited on the spot if they found this out in their lifetime.

Well, you could tell Witold J. Walczak that when he promotes gay marriage and the cult of sodomy I feel alienated and disenfranchised.

How did the ACLU become such a gang of scolds? They're like old maids cluck-clucking about this and that all over the place. Why don't they turn their attention to real horrors like the invasion of illegals? They should be concerned about the rights and welfare of people already living here legally, shouldn't they? Shouldn't they?

...

The un-reality hour is now over.

Yeah, you religious wackos, only the Senate, the House and the Supreme Court are permitted to open with prayer! Ordinary citizens can't presume to practice their religion in a public forum! </ACLU atheistic thuggery>

STFU the ACLU. Prayers routinely open sessions of Congress and state legislators. I'm shocked, shocked and shocked the ACLU considers a school board's invocation of the tradition to be unconstitutional! The Secular Jihad presses on.

Moral Absolutes Ping.

It seems as though every few hours there's another horror story about the ACLU and its zombie like stiff kneed rabid dog march towards the death of all that is good and decent and reminiscent of God.

And using our money to do it. You all know the drill - sue little districts and municipalities for some minutiae concerning a cross or a prayer, they fold since they don't have the money for a big court case, the ACLU gets money, and the steam roller rolls on.

When, O When, are they going to get what they deserve?

Let me know if you want on/off this pinglist.

Note: Don't forget that their head dude, Romero, is a noted "gay" activist.

It seems as though every few hours there's another horror story about the ACLU and its zombie like stiff kneed rabid dog march towards the death of all that is good and decent and reminiscent of God.

There is a very good reason for that. It's because they are financed by your tax money and that source of tax money grants huge profits to them. Under federal law, 42 USC 1988 the ACLU can ask the judge to grant to them reimbursement of (highly padded) attorney fees and court costs when they sue regarding civil liberties issues. The main reason they start so many civil law suits, is because they make huge amounts of money doing it. If the ACLU could no longer make such huge sums from the pig trough that is federal tax dollars, they would be forced to get money from extreme left wing liberals instead. They would wither away if they had to do so.

That's what I was referring to. Or maybe it was in another thread...

I loathe the ACLU with every fiber of my being. And I got plenty fibers.
