Belarus slams Bush's civil corps initiative
Interfax ^ | May 19 2005

MINSK. May 19 (Interfax-West) - A statement made by U.S. President George W. Bush on Wednesday indicates that preparations are underway to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, Belarussian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ruslan Yesin told Interfax on Thursday.

In his statement, Bush proposed creating a corps of government workers to support emerging democracies.

"It is obvious that the U.S. is continuing its line of actions that go beyond the boundaries of international law. Its overt preparations for interference in foreign states' international affairs are also evident," Yesin said.

"Such initiatives should receive an uncompromising assessment from the international community and should be fended off resolutely," the spokesman said.

U.S. civil corps may be used in change of power in Belarus - MP

MINSK. May 19 (Interfax) - The United States' rapid response civil corps for emerging democracies, which is being created by President George W. Bush's initiative, can act as a coordinator during the next presidential elections in Belarus, Nikolai Cherginets, chairman of the Belarussian parliament commission for international affairs and national security, told Interfax on Thursday.

"I can say with confidence that officials of this planned American special-task rapid reaction corps for new democracies will try to enter Belarus under the disguise of representatives of various charity foundations and educational institutions in the run-up to the presidential campaign in Belarus in 2006," Cherginets said.

"We can speak about it because we know how it is done, taking the experience of the Soros foundation's activities in Belarus into consideration," he said.

"We should not forget that they [the United States] already has agents of influence here who are ready to sell everybody for Bush's money. This material is good and normal for Bush. It will be used together with emissaries in attempts to change power in the republic," he said.

President Bush said earlier he had suggested setting up a group of government officials who would assist emerging democracies.

LOL. Glass houses and stones. Belarus makes the average Third World country look like a First World country.

This is the result of our hate-America press and academics.

They have given the signal it is fashionable and acceptable to spew hatred and contempt at this country.

Belarus is one of the last bastions of the former Soviet Empire. They're so backward they obviously haven't noticed there's a newer version (the EU). Being lectured on international law and the individual's right to freedom by them is like Fidel trying to lecture the US on human rights.

US voting standards were unacceptable for Belarus :-)

Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka this week claimed the U.S. elections were held according to standards unacceptable in Belarus. Russian members of the OSCE's U.S. delegation told ITAR-TASS they were surprised to discover "numerous" flaws that could result in "violation of voters' rights and distortion of the voting results."

Belarus is a cesspool of crime and corruption.

Regpay, a Florida credit card processing company, operated by Belarussians with ties to organized crime, was used in a child porn ring.....and probably other despicable crimes.

These people are ruthless.

The FBI broke up a billion-dollar staged accidents scam run by Russian lowlifes in the US who bilked Medicaid and auto insurance companies (which means law-abiding Americans must pay more due to these criminals).

Cable's History Channel did an excellent expose of the horrendous global magnitude of Russian organized crime migration. They come to the US pleading "persecution" and get on the gravy train to suck up US tax dollars.

One New York TV news report chronicled the lifestyle of an unemployed 30'ish Russian immigrant---a trained engineer--- picking up tax-subsidized government checks while his wife was lolling around getting her hair and nails done courtesy of US taxpayers......in Little Odessa, NY, where the bulk of Russians riding the US gravy train reside. A buncha these Russian parasites are actually suing the US govt and whining b/c we are trying to eliminate some of the tax-paid benefits they are gorging themselves on.......(money over and above income from the scams they perpetrate).

These parasites are the antithesis of democracy.......they see America only as a gravy train. They would not lift a finger if democracy were in trouble.

These ruthless money grubbers espouse the crass politics of Socialistic Darwinism----survival of the fittest----with the strong devouring the weak. These characters with the gimmees put a stranglehold on our government----for their own self-serving purposes. Every con artist and their cousin comes crawling out of the woodwork to cash in. Extortion and corruption is the result, and that is amply demonstrated in this lawsuit.

Russian criminals are dragging down the glory of democracy to their level---the basest level of corruption.

To read more about Russian crime, here's the link to a long read---some 49 pages---of a report by law enforcement complete with extensive bibliography on the scope and dimension of Russian organized crime.

(Sniffle) Gosh, now they'll have to kill me for outing them and for having the nerve to criticize them-----golly, (yawn) I'm so scared (snore.)

LOL! Good thing I was sitting sideways, sort of leaning back in the chair or I would have ruined another keyboard. Good thing the carpet is brown, too. The coffee stains don't show up"

"They're so backward they obviously haven't noticed there's a newer version (the EU). "

I used to live in a soviet country (people's republic of Poland), now I live in EU, and I can tell you, there's a whole world of difference. When I hear people saying that EU is something like USSR, I know that they don't know what they are talking about. Please, drop it, there's really no comparison.

Lukashenko is not a communist. He's a tyrant by character and nuts too. But I think Belarus is still an independent country thanks to him. He wants to be the boss and that's why he doesnt want to listen to Putin's wishes. Another benefit of Lukashenko is that opposition to him is helping to create a real Belorussian political elite. Before him Belorussians didn't even know that they are Belorussians. They thought of themselves as "people who live here" (i.e. in this part of USSR).
