Yes. Radical gender feminst and former council to the ACLU Ruth Bader Ginsburg was recommended as an acceptable choice by Orrin Hatch.
Weeks ago, I predicted President Bush might throw a real monkey wrench into the Democrats plan to filibuster his Supreme Court nominees. I predicted Bush just might nominate Joe Lieberman. Because he's been such a loyal supporter on Iraq, because he's a devout believer in God, because he's often a very reasonable senator. How would senate democrats handle that surprise nomination?? But wait!
Now I'm thinking President Bush just might remember how hard Orin Hatch has been campaigning for the Supreme Court with just this kind of idiocy, sugggesting Ruth Bader Ginsberg!! That's such an obvious ploy for favor from the left, which is how Hatch has been operating for decades. He delivers a scathing indictment of some liberal action, then winds down by diluting the points he's made with wishy washy wuss words. Hatch is your basic CYA "On the other hand" kind of politician.

Would you rather have a President of the opposing party appoint an old Ginsberg or a young Breyer? I think I'd recommend all the 60 year old jurists I could find.
