Three Killed in Clovis Shooting
May 23, 2005
Three were killed in a Clovis construction zone last night and the hunt is on for the suspect and the truck the shooter was driving.
What's unusual about the crime scene is that the area is closed off for construction. It's surrounded by orchards and unfinished housing developments, so it's not known why anybody was even there in the first place.
Clovis homicide detectives and the crime scene unit are looking for answers after three people were shot and killed late last night.
It happened around 10:30pm last night in a secluded area on Shepherd near Willow.
Police say someone shot at four men in a red Jeep Cherokee. Two died at the scene, one later died at the hospital.
The fourth man managed to escape to a nearby housing development to get help. He pounded on doors and neighbors called police.
Detectives have been talking to the survivor, but at this point, they don't know why the men were shot.
Police say the gunman was driving a black Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition pickup truck. It may have had tinted windows.
??...I'm not up on new trucks. What is that?
