This "compromise" had better not mean continued filibustering in the future. What I'm hoping is that the Dems realized they would lose if they attempted to filibuster Owen and, having realized this, decided looking (late last week) for a way to be able to say they "reached compromise" rather than "got horsewhipped."

Maybe the "compromise" is that they will let Owen get approved, and then filibuster then next nominee.
