Or the McCainiacs, as I posted somewhere earlier.

Something is wrong with the sound on my computer. I think spyware got into my soundcard, LOL. I usually depend on the pager for pings and mail so I really miss it.

Yep. Agreed. McCain is cooked ...tho media including FOX is trying to put a good face on it..it won't fly. McCain can't succeed to POTUS w/o conservative base and that won't happen. If Reps run McCain they lose...so that won't happen. First and Jeb Bush are not my cup of tea either so it will be interesting to see who floats to the top but if it's going to be an ARTICULATE CONSERVATIVE that person had better begin his visibility run darn soon. Allen maybe, not sure about Owens.

Rush was saying that McCain is convinced he doesn't need the "base" to win. This guy took too many blows to the head in the prison camp.

Re LG> Yep like a crayfish in the sun...scurring back to the rock.

Saw him on the Senate Floor last night with the same "they better behave or I'll change my vote" pitch. Not sure what he and Foghorn Leghorn were thinking but I bet Warner is catching major hurt in the cloak room; DeWine has not surfaced yet, probably can't get off the phone. Even Warner was on FOX with Hume last night trying to explain away his foolishness. The old Fart is no better than Byrd....Both view themselves through the lens of Senior Senatorial Orators in the company of the likes of Daniel Webster...Guess they don't realise how pompous and senile they sound. Time for the home and rocking chair for both.

I think the good news, if there is any here, may be that if the nuke option becomes necessary again there will be no more compromises and the Rats know it...This may yet work and if it does Reid has led the Rats into a hole the will find dark and deep.

Yep. Now all he has to do is convince the rest of the party. (Actually I'm not sure he took any blows to the head as a POW. They probably just watched him for amusement.)

There will be good candidates running against Baucus, Dorgan, Bayh, Nelson, Prior, Blanchard, Salazar, ...just keep replacing the closet liberals with Reagan Republicans. It will eventually work.

$5 paid. You were right, the 7 stuck out their part of the bargain. All that was prelude to the real fight coming up, though.

Actually, I never said the 7 would stick up to their part of the bargain---that was someone else. I said that this would be a good deal BECAUSE the Dems would break the deal AND we would still get our judges (and I said 10, and I think we only got 8 . . . so far).
