RNC money is the problem. That happened with Toomey in PA, didn't it?

Not to mention President Bush and the NRA both endorsed Sphincter.

John McCain made the mistake of listening to Warren Rudman and that helped sink him during the primary. I hope Lindsey keeps listening to that part of his brain. He will be toast.

this is the time for the white house to play hardball - if there is something in his background which the Dems are using, we should release it ourselves.

A sitting president always lends his support to the incumbent in his party.

I second that motion.

But it'll never happen.

If there was something in his background, the Dems would have released it already.

Once again the senate GOP folds like a deck of cards. No backbone or courage on an issue that will affect this nation for years. Frist is done, McCain will not get my vote, Graham is two faced, Warner just needs to retire and the rest of them just are not worth a shit..

Maybe, maybe not. He's the darling now. If any damaging information gets leaked it will be held until Graham tries to re-assert his Conservative credentials.

He thinks these people can be trusted??? I'll laugh my head off when I hear him say, "Et tu, Holy Joe?"

Lindsey Graham is a sellout traitor and South Carolina won't forget.

Unfortunately, South Carolina has forgotten and will forget again. Graham tried to sabotage the impeachment vote by being the only Republican to join Democrats in voting against the charge that Clinton lied. Dems used his statements to buttress their own arguments for Clinton. He led the coup against Speaker Gingrich. Having campaigned for McCain only to see the Arizona senator stumble and fail in South Carolina, Graham still carries a grudge against President Bush He tried to embarrass Secretary Rumsfeld in Senate hearings. He has proposed Democrat-like tax increases to bail out Social Security.

He is an opportunist and should never be trusted in any situation where by being "moderate" he can grab some headlines. Conservative he may be but trustworthy he is not.

Mike Allen, The Washington Post, on Hardball: McCain, et al, said they thought they were doing Frist a favor by agreeing to this. ROFLOL!!! Yeah, sure you did. /sarcasm

Both parties aren't very happy about this. They think some of these "mavericks" were only out for themselves by agreeing to this. NO KIDDING! lol!

the Dems that are part of this compromise group are all nobodies - they aren't part of the Dem power structure, and never will be. they were just used as window dressing for the sellout led by McCain.

I fear these Rinos have succeeded in electing Democrats to a lot of seats in 06. Why vote for a Republican when they vote with Democrats. I would rather see Democrats in seats these people hold. That way we know which way they will vote, instead of waiting to get screwed.
