Crime has generally dropped all over the country, and I suspect "all types of crimes" dropped even in places where prosecutors didn't go after porno shops.
The local porn shop is going to wither and die anyway long term; everything is the internet.
A town with a lot of sex businesses will likely have a dirty police force.
So a drive to run them out probably means fed up homeowners elected an honest mayor.
