It is pure laziness on the part of Republicans, imo, that they didn't force a true filibuster...the 24/7 kind.
If there is anything positive to gain from this, it is that after the agreement blows up, and the GOP invokes the nuclear option, then in all future legislation, the GOP moderates, who have exterted undo influence in the caucus, wil be stymied...
I haven't felt this demoralized in a long time. This betrayal, along with the House and its inexplicable pro-embryonic research vote, has left me utterly sickened by the "right" side.
