I find this most distressing. I have defended Joe Lieberman on this forum. I flew him in a Learjet and I found him to be a decent man.

As I said, the deal was to bring them to the floor for votes, not to vote to confirm them. The only Dems who voted aye on Owens were Byrd and Landrieu.
