Where does the Amnesty International A**holes get their funding?

I just heard a William Schultz on CSpan, an arrogant elitist prissy AH to be sure. The terrorist would really have fun with him!

Amnesty International probably does a decent job reporting serious human rights violations.

But the fact is they go way overboard in damning the USA and its allies (especially Israel). Their disdain of Bush and the WOT is evident. AI stated in Nov 2001 the WTC attacks were a matter for international courts, and NOT a military response. AI basically tried to rationalize the actions of the 19 hijackers.

That creates a serious credibility gap, especially for those of us who watched American citizens jumping from the 104th floor that awful day.

Was it a few weeks ago AI was only partially critical of the Palestinians, pointing out they should NOT use children for the suicide attacks on Israel? Duh.

Again, a credibility issue. If AI truly sought to point out human rights violations, it would have lambasted suicide bombers in general.

But what sells and what gets donations is laying out the USA. Using deliberate inflammatory descriptions such as GULAG is just over the top rhetoric. It doesn't pass the smell test.

Again, the credibility issue.

AI needs to separate legitimate military prison operations from REAL human rights violations (like ACTUAL gulags and state-run torture chambers). Any prison system that provides 3 meals, religious observations, medical treatment, and clean living quarters is a damn sight better than a gulag.
